WIP CryEngine Foliage Test

I'm in the process of learning this fantastic engine. I intend to do my next environment in CryEngine, and it's going to be set in a forest. The grass and fern vegetation here is my first crack at custom veg in engine with wind animation (palm trees are not mine). My next challenge will be to get some trees of my own working.

Rework of a previous model...

This is improved from a 512 to a 1024 diffuse texture and added geo instead of transparent planes. I reworked the entire texture for the better. Its 1843 tris, Diffuse, Normal, Specular, Glow. Hopefully this will be in an upcoming game demo. *crosses fingers*

Steampunk Western Town Progress

Here's where I'm at with this environment. I'm pretty happy with what you can squeeze out of modular assets. This is all tiling textures, except the outhouse and the crates. I really should push this scene some more in the future, but I need to change gears and focus on my internship for now.

Here's the Trading Post building in UDK with a basic terrain and some foliage. I'll be filling out this scene with a bunch more modular building pieces in the coming weeks.

WIP. Another building for my internship. This one is from a great concept by Zip Algeria. Its all tiling textures at this point. Adding grunge maps in UDK will make it look much, much better.

Gnome Tresstump Cottage WIP

Here is the first mesh of the set with its color/normal/spec/glow shader in Marmoset. I still have to model and texture the chimney, which will be made of another smaller banyan-type tree with long roots that cover the cottage. Then I'll ad  some ivy. Then create the interior, and functionality in UDK. This one could take me months, to finish with all the other stuff on my plate, so updates will be periodic at best.

Steampunk Rifle Turntable

After a lot of trial and error, I finally got the right compression settings. I don't know why its so damn tiny here, watch it on YouTube to bask in all its glory!

Steampunk Rifle Final Renders

I really like that the new version of Marmoset added anti-aliasing. I think I'll try out the turntable feature tonight. I can't believe I've gone this long without rendering any turntables of my stuff. It is about time!

Steampunk Rifle UV Hell is over...

Yep, this one is a beast. Map looks pretty tight, one of the toughest ones I've done. I think I just leveled....

Steampunk Rifle Concepting

Here is a design that uses a Winchester as a base with a bunch of steampunky mumbo-jumbo.
WHAT! IT DOES STUFF!
